Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS)

Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) is a non-surgical form of radiation treatment where a single high dose of radiation is localized to the brain. SRS uses 3D imaging to deliver a highly-concentrated dose of radiation to the affected area leaving minimal impact on the surrounding healthy tissue.
SRS is used to treat benign and malignant trigeminal neuralgia, acoustic neuroma, atriovenous malformation and recurrent gliomas. This type of treatment is performed in only one session.
