The Schwimmer family has supported the Barnabas Health Hospice Bear Hugs program since its inception in 2009 in memory of their wife and mother, Judith Schwimmer, a social worker and educator. Over 2,500 memory bears have been handcrafted and given to grieving families thanks to their generosity, along with the talent and dedication of our Bear Hugs volunteers.

This year marks the 10 year anniversary of her death, so her family has pledged $100,000 to Hospice to underwrite the under-discussed topic of end-of-life care in our community. Their gift will help broaden Hospice’s efforts to educate community members and healthcare providers regarding end-of-life decisions.

Please join us by making a meaningful contribution in her memory. All gifts will be recognized and acknowledged to the Schwimmer family and are also tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
